This may sound funny but try parking far away from the entrance of wherever you are going. It only adds a few seconds of travel time, but every bit helps. Remember, the goal is be active, in whatever way you can. So if this small change helps, go for it!

Cleaning can be a relaxing and strenuous activity. Cleaning a bigger home is also a major plus since you will have a bigger area to cover. When you are cleaning you are doing many things; you lift, stretch to reach certain areas, and you walk a lot. This is all good for your body because it helps get in some physical activity. An added bonus is that your house will look great.

  1. Yardwork/Gardening

Now that you cleaned the inside of your house, it’s time to do some yardwork and gardening. Yardwork is a great physical activity that also gets you outside. It is also a very strenuous activity and helps work out a few muscle groups. So, not only are you cleaning up your yard and growing food but you are also outside, being active. Not a bad deal.
