The Difference Between Fitness and Exercise

Exercise is an important aspects of our lives. For some it is a new endurance race and for others its setting simple goals to improve their health. But, what really is the difference between being fit and actually exercising?  Think of it like this, many people say the journey is important, not the destination. Now apply this to fitness. Exercising (the journey) is great but you need to be heading in the right direction (towards fitness). So, what’s this all have to do with wearing great sportswear?

We all know that being fit and active is good for your physical and mental well-being. To achieve fitness you have to exercise, but it’s usually because you are aiming towards a goal or target. By exercising, you are enhancing your cardiovascular fitness – which is necessary and beneficial for your general welfare. Being fit is great for you, no matter how you got to that level. This can be tied to genetics as well, so take it with a grain of salt. Again, why workout headbands? We are getting there.

Exercising for raising your fitness level isn’t the only way to improve your health. By exercising you also affect your BMI, blood pressure, insulin levels, and much, much more. This means that you can increase your longevity and be healthy, without raising your fitness levels.

Therefore, it’s important to exercise, because it has healthy benefits. Yet, to be fit allows you to go an extra step further. It’s not enough to just exercise, because it doesn’t determine your fitness level.

Okay, so now the whole thing about workout attire. When you are doing your workout, what are you striving for? You are fixed on a goal, or a destination. Correct? Well, it’s important that you are prepared both physically and mentally. To be prepared physically, you need something like a workout headband that can keep up with your level of intensity.
